I am back again to talk about the fact that, even though I have this blog, I can't think of much to say or show on it.

In addition to being a mixed media artist, I am predominantly a copywriter, proofreader, and editor. Unless I write a book (which I might), it's difficult for me to think of things to post. What a dilemma!

I could be a creative writer, like I was in the 9th grade, but that is not where my focus lies. My writing is for paid work, and my art is personal work that I may be able to sell eventually.

I hope you can understand this explanation. Who knows ... maybe it will generate some ideas for future posts!

All the best,

Just a Short Post

Hello fellow writers and readers. I thought I would do a short post showing my business card. Here it is:

It's kind of small, but I think you can make it larger if you click on it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dear Reader,

At the end of 2012, I had the privilege of being contacted by child advocate, Helena Battle, and chosen to edit her book, Kids--It's OK to Scream Out Loud to Get Away from a Pedophile Person. The book focuses on keeping children safe from sexual predators. It explains many ways to recognize people who cannot be trusted, and what to do to avoid them. At the beginning of the book, parents are encouraged to read the book with their children in case of questions that may arise.

If you are interested in purchasing the book, you can easily find it by doing a search of its title.

I owe a great deal of gratitude to Helena for believing in my editing capabilities!

All the best,

Another Published Article (one of many)

Hi folks, and a very happy new year!

The holidays were kind of quiet as far as work is concerned. Having said that, I am still copywriting, proofreading, and editing for a publisher that I've been doing work for more than six years. It's mostly in the marketing area.

I am continuing to write for i.d.e.a.l. Magazine ( Below is another article that I wrote for the magazine. It was a great pleasure interviewing this terrific athlete and wonderful young man. I hope you enjoy it!

Please get in touch with me at if you wish to have me write for you! My rates are very reasonable.
My motto is: Let me help you express it!

All the best ... Deborah

Working With an Editor

Hi out there! This will be just a short post about working with an editor.

Since editing is one of the jobs I do, I'm passing on the link to the Daily Writing Tips blog that I receive every day. It tells writers and authors how to work with an editor.

I hope you get a lot out of it!

Also, I edited a book for children so I thought I would promote it for the wonderful author (and now my friend), Helena Battle:

It was such a pleasure working on this project, especially because it is about teaching children how to stay safe from sexual predators.

Well ... that's all I have for now. See you next time.
